When Leslie Carter founded the firm many years ago, and after the late Martin Stone joined him as President, they kept the firm small and specialized. Clients appreciate speaking with the principals of the firm.
That is why Carter Stone & Company does not pass assignments onto newcomers. Our staff consists of a group of professionals who come from banking, Wall Street, and technology backgrounds, which enable them to understand the significance of each and every assignment. They have held positions in operations, human resources, technology, credit administration, and real estate within Investment Banking firms, Commercial Banks, and Investment Management firms. Assisted by experienced administrative assistants and research specialists who have been with the company for as many as 20 years, they are trained to approach each individual with respect, common courtesy, and thoughtfulness, an approach that is the hallmark of our firm.
Our team has always been involved in service to the community, whether it is on hospital boards, non-profit organizations, or historical societies for the betterment of our country. We are active board members and assume our role in raising funds for organizations that encompass the Boy Scouts of America, The Economic Club of New York and many other organizations. Board activities include Bank Boards throughout the Tri-State area. Since our President enjoys outdoor activities with his family, he is also involved in helping eradicate Lyme disease, the infectious disease found in everyone’s backyard, with the American Lyme Disease Foundation. Board activities also encompass hospital affiliations in New York State and Connecticut.
